Morocco is located in Northern Africa and it is bordered by the North Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea. Its land neighbors include Algeria and Mauritania.
In Morocco visitors can travel from the snow-capped peaks to vast deserts in a single day. On the coast, there is the assurance year-round sunshine, with temperatures averaging 23°C. In the lowlands, the colder months are from October to April. Ski season in the highlands lasts from December to March, whereas for trekking trips, the high season is from June to September.
The officiel language is Arabic. French, English and Amazigh Dialects are widely spoken.
Dirham ( DH or MAD ) is the Moroccan currency and it is divided into 100 Cts. There are 20, 50, 100 and 200 Dirhams notes and Dhs 1, 2, 5 and 10 coins and 5, 10, 20 and 50 Cts coins. 1 USD = Around 8 MAD and 1 Euro = Around 11 MAD. Correct at time of going to press.
